I started searching for something when I was a teenager when I felt a dread of living a regular life, then drugs and music and like so many of my contemporaries……India and experimenting with different spiritual paths and teachers. Back in the west I lived for some years in a spiritual community but over time it dried up, as it did for everyone else I knew. Generally people began to drift back to “the world” as I did too. But….somewhere I knew it would never work..Then right in the middle of this, very wary of spiritual teachers but more sure than ever that something had to happen, I met Andrew Cohen and my life literally turned upside down. There is nothing that can prepare you for meeting your teacher! Over the last 20 years I have travelled with the entire evolution of Andrew's teaching. Almost from the beginning it was more about the freedom/transparency/unity that was emerging between people than the enlightenment of the individual. These were the first intimations of a new kind of enlightenment with huge evolutionary significance for our future. Being with a real teacher is always a confrontation with the absolute and with the state of one's own soul, but it this that makes real evolution possible, especially when you come together with others who share the same passion. What feels most important to me now is to open up this dialogue of what it means for consciousness which is us to evolve and together to engage in the process.  What could be more exciting?

Right now I am involved in re-opening our EnlightenNext Center in Rishikesh, India and working for a environmental project we started here several years ago called Clean Himalaya. We won the India World Bank Development Award in June this year and since then the project has been moving in leaps and bounds.
